Confirmed: Nigel Roberts of Island Networks® to Speak at Domain Summit Europe 2025

We’re proud to welcome Nigel Roberts, founder of Island Networks®, as a first-time speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025.

Island Networks®, founded in 1996, operates the ccTLDs .GG and .JE, and provides domain services worldwide. It also offers technical registry operations for .AS (American Samoa) and consulting for registry operators globally.

Nigel has a degree in Computing Science from Essex University, is a Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the BCS. In 2008, he completed a Qualifying Law Degree (LL.B).

In 1997, Nigel stood as a UK Parliamentary candidate. After the election, he relocated to Alderney, serving in the Island Parliament (States) from 2002 to 2003.

He’s also an enthusiast of cryptocurrency and electronic music.

He holds a Master’s in Marketing and International Management from Centre MIM in Strasbourg, grounding his leadership in strategic insight. Additionally, he co-organizes NDDcamp in Paris and Strasbourg, driving domain-focused events, and was a member of the Afnic Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2022, contributing to France’s internet framework.

With over 20 years in the domain name industry, she has held significant roles, such as Head of Policy and ccTLD Practice Manager at CentralNic Group plc, shaping domain policies and practices. Called to the Bar in England and Wales in 1995, licensed as a California Attorney, and a Certified Practitioner of Data Protection (EU & UK), Raedene brings a strong legal and regulatory background. She oversees Tucows Registry, part of a company launched in 1993 as a shareware provider. Today, Tucows is a global registry powerhouse, managing over 20 million domains, operating TLDs like .club, .online, and .design, and providing backend services to registries worldwide, supporting both gTLDs and ccTLDs with robust infrastructure and innovation.
