Confirmed: Nigel Roberts of Island Networks® to Speak at Domain Summit Europe 2025

We’re proud to welcome Nigel Roberts, founder of Island Networks®, as a first-time speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025.

Island Networks®, founded in 1996, operates the ccTLDs .GG and .JE, and provides domain services worldwide. It also offers technical registry operations for .AS (American Samoa) and consulting for registry operators globally.

Nigel has a degree in Computing Science from Essex University, is a Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the BCS. In 2008, he completed a Qualifying Law Degree (LL.B).

In 1997, Nigel stood as a UK Parliamentary candidate. After the election, he relocated to Alderney, serving in the Island Parliament (States) from 2002 to 2003.

He’s also an enthusiast of cryptocurrency and electronic music.

We’re happy to confirm the return of Freddy Schiwek, a leading voice in the domain and hosting industry, to the stage at Domain Summit Europe 2025.

As CEO of Zonat Sàrl, Freddy led Luxhosting, Hosting.co.uk, and MonsterHost, which were sold to World Host Group in December 2023 and publicly announced on January 2, 2024.

Russian by nationality and operating from Lithuania, Filip is a seasoned entrepreneur who considers himself a global citizen, always on the move to explore new horizons. His standout venture, Site.Pro, launched in 2014, has become a leading white-label website builder, seamlessly integrating with web hosting platforms across Europe, North America, and beyond.

Targeting small to medium web hosts with 1 to 300 servers, Site.Pro equips providers with a branded, intuitive tool to compete with DIY giants like Wix and Squarespace. We’re pleased to welcome Benjamin Louis , CEO of Sparkling, as a first-time speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025! Benjamin manages the .alsace geographic top-level domain (GeoTLD), which proudly represents France’s Alsace region. At Sparkling, he partners with ICANN and AFNIC to maintain the .alsace domain’s success, supporting its role as a digital cornerstone for the region. Before Sparkling, he led the .alsace project for Region Grand Est, overseeing its creation and growth.

Active in the web industry since 1998, Benjamin gained valuable experience as a consultant for SdV Plurimedia, a French web agency and hosting center, enhancing his digital expertise. He holds a Master’s in Marketing and International Management from Centre MIM in Strasbourg, grounding his leadership in strategic insight. Additionally, he co-organizes NDDcamp in Paris and Strasbourg, driving domain-focused events, and was a member of the Afnic Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2022, contributing to France’s internet framework.

Stepping onto the Domain Summit stage for the first time, Benjamin will share his journey with .alsace, launched in 2015 to boost Alsace’s online presence and economy. His session will explore collaboration with ICANN and AFNIC, the dynamics of regional domain projects, and the broader impact of GeoTLDs on identity and business. We’re pleased to present Raedene McGary , Vice President of Tucows Registry, as a key speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025! Raedene came to Tucows in 2021 via the UNR Registry acquisition, where she was Chief Operating Officer, contributing her operational expertise.

With over 20 years in the domain name industry, she has held significant roles, such as Head of Policy and ccTLD Practice Manager at CentralNic Group plc, shaping domain policies and practices. Called to the Bar in England and Wales in 1995, licensed as a California Attorney, and a Certified Practitioner of Data Protection (EU & UK), Raedene brings a strong legal and regulatory background. She oversees Tucows Registry, part of a company launched in 1993 as a shareware provider. Today, Tucows is a global registry powerhouse, managing over 20 million domains, operating TLDs like .club, .online, and .design, and providing backend services to registries worldwide, supporting both gTLDs and ccTLDs with robust infrastructure and innovation.
